Course Description and Maps
Triathlon: 800 meter swim, 18 mile bike, 4 mile run
Duathlon: 2 mile run, 18 mile bike, 4 mile run
Swim: 800 meter pool swim
The swim will take place at Lancaster Aquatic Center and this will be a 800 meter snake swim. So you will go up and back in the same lane, then go under the lane line, and continue on to the next lane. Swimmers will start 10 seconds apart, and starting position is based upon your seed time.
Bike Course: 18 mile bike
This is an out and back course. Note: this is not a closed course. The course will be well marked and patrolled by numerous officers and volunteers.
Left out of the transition area, continue on past the stadium. You will continue on all to way out to Alumni Drive. Left on Alumni Drive, crossover Tates Creek Road. Stay on Alumni until you get to Chinoe. Right on Chinoe Road. You will stay on Chinoe all the way until it stops at Armstrong Mill Road. Left on Armstrong Mill. Continue on Armstrong Mill. You will crossover Man O War and take Armstrong Mill until it ends at Delong Road. Take a right on Delong Road. Take Delong road to the turn around at Keshlyn Kennels. Take the same course back to the transition area.
Note: As you are headed back to the transition area on the bike course, once you crossover Tates Creek Road, you will be routed onto the bike path on Alumni Drive. This will prevent traffic issues. There will be a volunteer there to guide you onto the bike path. You will enjoy this scenic bike ride past the beautiful horse farms in Lexington!

Run Course: 4 mile run
The run course will be well marked and patrolled by numerous volunteers.
The run will start at the transition area, and then runners will take the sidewalk on University Drive to Alumni drive. Runners will then run up Alumni drive on the sidewalk/parking lot until just before Motor Pool Drive. The runners will then cross over Alumni Drive and then run counter clockwise around the Arboretum, and then return to the transition area the same way. It is a mile to the Arboretum, 2 miles around, and then 1 mile back to the finish line. The Arboretum is beautiful and you will most certainly enjoy this scenic run!

The Duathlon Course
The Duathlon starts with a 2-mile out and back run, followed by the same bike and run course that is set for the triathlon (we will have a map of the initial run portion available soon!)
